PROFILE
Carmen joined the Petroleum Institute as a research associate in the Chemical Engineering Department in May 2008. She joined Dr. Palmer research team with the focus of developing solid sorbents to remove H2S from a stream (Claus plant). This project attempts to tackle the increasing environmental concern of the need to reduce sulphur emissions from a gas field.
Prior to joining PI, Carmen worked for 3M Corporation in four different manufacturing locations in US – Minnesota, Illinois, Iowa, and Wisconsin. She was delighted to be part of such a fine company for a total of 7 years as an advanced manufacturing engineer.
