    • MEng. in Chemical Engineering, The Petroleum Institute, Abu Dhabi UAE (Aug 2010 to date)
    • BSc. Chemical Engineering, The University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan (2004-2008)

Profile:

Kashif Rashid has done bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from University of the Punjab, Lahore Pakistan.  He has recently joined PI, in August 2010 as a Graduate Research/Teaching Assistant. Before joining PI, he was working as a Lecturer in Jinnah Islamia College, Lahore, Pakistan, where he was teaching Chemistry and was involved in Laboratory activities like setting up and performing Lab scale experiments. He has also done a professional Teacher’s Training course at Punjab Group of Colleges, Lahore, Pakistan. During his undergraduate course, he did his summer internship in Attock Oil Refinery, Rawalpindi, Pakistan. He has also worked with the British Council Pakistan as an examination Supervisor.

Currently he is doing a research project on Pyrolysis/Gasification of waste Plastic that is being funded by Berouge, (ADNOC group of companies) under the supevision of Prof. Dr. C.S. Kanan and Prof. Dr. Ahmed S. Alshoaibi.

Research Interest:

Chemical Kinetics, Pyrolysis/Gasification, Renewable Energy Systems

Projects:

  1. Production of high Octane Gasoline using CCR platforming of Naphtha.
  2. Energy Production by gasification/Pyrolysis of waste Plastic (currently undergoing)
