- BSC in Chemical Engineering, United Arab Emirates University, Al-Ain
- Master in Engineering Science, The University of Western Ontario, Canada
Prior to coming to The Petroleum Institute in February 2006, I spent two years as a graduate student at the University of Western Ontario in Canada. During that time I pursued my master degree in Chemical Engineering, specialized in process control and crystallization. My research area was mainly focused on the production of a calcium phosphate material called “Hydroxyapatite” that is used for bone implantation. Beside my research work I worked there as a teaching assistant, where I assist in teaching mainly process control course for undergraduate chemical engineering students. I worked in UAE University as a teaching assistant as well prior to finishing my BSC in the chemical engineering department, where I taught several chemical engineering laboratory sessions and helped in teaching other core chemical engineering courses. I have published one scientific paper titled “Synthesis of pure hydroxyapatite and the effect of synthesis conditions on its yield, crystallinity, morphology and mean particle size” and in process of publishing another two papers related to my master thesis.
In The Petroleum Institute I work as a teaching assistant in the Chemical Engineering Department. I help in teaching and development of several chemical engineering courses and laboratory sessions beside the research work. Currently I am involved in a project sponsored by GASCO/ADGAS. Where a substantial improvement in the performance of the gas sweetening process unit is needed
