The chemical engineering department organized graduation dinner in honor of graduating seniors (Male Student) of academic year 2010-2011on Tuesday, 17th May 2011. The program was held at Armed Forces Officers Club, Abu Dhabi. It was graced by Dr. Ismail Tag, Senior Vice President and Provost, PI and special dignitaries from PI partner institutes, Professor Walter G. Chapman (Rice University), Professor Ilja Siepmann and Professor Michael Tsapatsis (University of Minnesota).
The program started with a welcome address by Dr. Ahmed Al Shoaibi. Dr. Ismail gave a short speech on the occasion. Dr. Cornelis Peters, Distinguished Professor and Program chair of the department congratulated graduating students.
Outstanding graduating seniors were presented recognition certificates by Dr. Ismail and Dr. Cor. Names of the student who received awards are as follows;

- Falah Al Hameli and Ali Abdul Kareem Al Hammadi (Achievement Award)
- Abdulla Saber (Professional Promise Award)
Many congratulations to the award winning students and other graduating students. The event was organized by Dr. Ahmad Al Shoaibi, Ahmad Nafees and Mr. Abdul Aziz Anwar. A delicious dinner was served after the completion of award ceremony.
