Master of Science (M. Sc.) Program
Educational Objectives
- Provide graduates with an outstanding education, research skills and knowledge required to further their career aspirations;
- Prepare graduates to go on for further education under PhD programs;
- Raise the academic and professional visibility of the PI through the publication of scholarly works;
- Provide PI partners in the oil and gas industry with a pool of highly qualified personnel who can utilize their knowledge of contemporary technology to better develop business opportunities;
- Enhance the technological profile of PI partners in the oil and gas industry, the UAE, and the regional and global oil and gas industry.
Outcomes
Upon completion of the Master of Science in Chemical Engineering, the graduates will:
- Be able to successfully apply advanced concepts of basic sciences to the formulation and solution of complex chemical engineering problems;
- Be able to successfully apply advanced concepts of chemical engineering science to formulation and solution of diverse chemical engineering problems;
- Find employment in technologically relevant areas with rapid advancement through their chosen career path;
- Have the results of Master of Science thesis work published in peer-reviewed journals;
- Have the training and skills that will allow them to be accepted into well-recognized PhD programs.
Master of Engineering (M. Eng.) Program
Educational Objectives
- Provide graduates with an outstanding education, advanced skills and knowledge in technical and business-related areas required to further their career aspirations;
- Provide PI partners in the oil and gas industry with a pool of engineers who have the knowledge, skills, and educational background required to synthesize technical issues as well as economic/business management issues in the solution of chemical engineering problems;
- Provide graduates who can move into, and perform admirably in, management positions;
- Provide PI partners in the oil and gas industry and the UAE with a pool of highly qualified technical personnel;
- Enhance the technological profile of PI partners in the oil and gas industry, the UAE, and the regional oil and gas industry.
Outcomes
Upon completion of the Master of Engineering in Chemical ngineering, the graduates will:
- Be able to successfully apply advanced concepts of basic sciences to the formulation and solution of complex chemical engineering problems;
- Be able to successfully apply advanced concepts of chemical engineering science and economic analysis to solution of chemical engineering problems;
- Perform admirably in management positions in UAE and other major international oil and gas, and energy companies.
