Tracks

Chemical Engineering students at The Petroleum Institute have the opportunity to select a certain number of technical elective courses and create his or her own “Track” of specialty. Currently students have two different Tracks to choose from, namely: the General Track and Polymer Track.

In the General Track, students have the freedom to fulfill the technical elective course with any technical elective courses offered at the program. A list of technical electives is shown below:

In the Poymer Track, students ought to fulfill the technical elective course with ONLY technical elective related to polymer science and engineering. A list of polymer technical electives is shown below:

Students interested in the Polymer Track should fulfill a minimum credit hour of 18 in order to obtain a minor in Polymer Science and Engineering.

It is important to note that students seeking the General Track are able to choose any technical elective courses from the Polymer Science and Engineering list.
