Events

Dr. Mashhad Allaf has already started to hold an informal discussion circle with interested PI students, the “Humanities Circle”, in order to improve the faculty-students relationship, give the students the opportunity to be creative outside the classroom and to discuss topics like the relationship between Arts and Engineering and defining future ideas of the 21st century.

Mrs. Gabriele Harb and the German Club are going to organize the yearly “German-Arabic Cultural Evening” with PI students and in coordination with representatives of the GLENELG-School of Abu Dhabi and German institutions, e.g. the Goethe-Institute and the German Embassy, in the first week of December 2011.

Dr. Abdullah Al Shami is planning to offer a course in “Islamic Banking and Finance” in the coming semester 2012. In a time where the world is facing several economic crises, this will be an important contribution to enhance the student’s understanding of economic and social relationships.
