He is an active researcher with over 90 papers in international journals and conferences and over 30 technical reports in the areas of power system / control. He participated in more than 15 projects funded by the Arab Fund for Social and Economic Development (AFSED), King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST), the Saudi Electricity Company (SEC), The Saudi Arabian basic Industries company (SABIC), The Saudi Electricity Regulatory Agency (SERA), and ARAMCO. He has supervised 4 PhD and 6 M.Sc. students, and was a member on over 30 M.Sc. committees.
