I currently work at The Petroleum Institute as a research and teaching assistant. I teach the laboratory class of the Electric Circuits I course and assist in teaching the Instrumentation and Measurements laboratory. I am also involved in a research titled “A non-radioactive instrument for real- time metering and monitoring of multiphase flows”. My research interests include industrial automation, robotics and instrumentation.

Born in Homs, Syria, I moved to Abu Dhabi, UAE where I completed my High school studies. I then joined the PI where I obtained my B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering, after which I joined the PI fellowship program in order to obtain an M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering.
I participated in many national and international activities including the formation of the IEEE-PI student chapter where I held the president position, winning of the international Honeywell student competition 2008 and several local IEEE university students’ competitions. I have a published paper titled “The Design of PID Power System Stabilizer Using Particle Swarm Optimization” and was submitted to a conference in
AUS - Sharjah.

Education is an endless chain of work, knowledge and personality building, combining these ingredients together will help us to build solid bases for a more developed and civilized society.
