I am a visiting graduate research assistant in the field of power electronics and drives. I am working closely with my supervisor Dr. A. R. Beig, who has been very supportive and encouraging with my research work. The EE department has highly qualified and distinguished instructors, and I am really thankful to the PI for giving me the opportunity to work with such inspiring people. Another thing that stands out is the well equipped research labs.

Few hours spent at PI are enough to understand the potential of such an institute, which is impressive in terms of quickness in growth and development.
The modernity of all its facilities, from the most sophisticated engineering labs to one of the most full-option sport centers ever seen, make studying and research life comfortable and exciting. I had the pleasure to join the Electrical Engineering Department of PI for three months during my PhD and I really had the chance to appreciate the numerous initiatives in both scientific and humanistic field.

I am a graduate research assistant in the field of Process Condition Monitoring and data-based methods for modeling. I work closely with my supervisor Dr. Uwe Kruger, who has been very supportive and encouraging, as well as my colleague Udo Schubert, who has great expertise in model identification and a creative mind. One of the things I benefited most from was the interaction with other academic staff and students, and the various seminars and meetings I attended, all of which have broadened my horizon and helped lead me to new ideas. The facilities, the people and the general environment at the PI campus are surely one of the best out there, allowing for quality work in a nice, professional environment.

I had the chance to visit the PI two times for some months in 2008 and 2009. From my experience, the PI provides excellent opportunities for research. Living close to the campus with a lot of local students and stuff means a lot of fun during free time and at the same time focused and concentrated work.
