Mara Cecilia Barrow has been teaching and learning at the Petroleum Institute since 2005. Born and raised in the Central American country* that plays host to the Pacific-Atlantic lock-and-chamber waterway, Mara has also lived in Saudi Arabia, Costa Rica, California, Morocco, and England. Naturally, her love of travel continues to propel her to visit and explore fascinating places as often as possible.
Gastronomy, dance and books top her list of favorite things.
Mara holds a B.A. in International Studies and an M.A. in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from the Monterey Institute of International Studies, now a part of Middlebury.
