MISSION & OBJECTIVES
The mission of the Petroleum Institute’s Advanced University Placement
(AUP) department is to provide students with the knowledge and skills base required to be a successful at a world-class engineering university.
Its objectives are to:
- Provide a comprehensive, engaging and challenging preparatory program
- Develop critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Develop English language proficiency in science and engineering
- Develop communication and study skills
- Develop a sound theoretical and applied knowledge base
- Provide opportunity for Advanced Placement in chemistry, physics, and math
The AUP department provides students with a stimulating curriculum and learning environment, including modern science laboratories, computer labs, an Independent Learning Center, and most importantly, a highly qualified, experienced and dedicated faculty and staff.
