Brief Biography:

Having completed bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering with honors from UET, Lahore, Pakistan, Ammaar joined Pakistan’s largest Urea-Ammonia complex – Fauji Fertilizer Company Limited (FFC) as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer. During his tenure of more than 3 years (2007-2011) with the company, Ammaar was deputed in different sections of the maintenance department, primarily in the Rotating equipment section. Ammaar has a rich field experience of fault diagnostics, inspection and maintenance of rotating equipment including pumps, turbines (both gas and steam), compressors and engines.

Ammaar joined PI in Spring, 2011 and is currently conducting research under the supervision of Dr. Oleg Shiryayev entitled “Oil drilling vibrations’ suppression” His research interests include rotating machinery vibration, machinery health monitoring and fault diagnostics, reliability engineering and maintenance optimization.
