Ph.D. Imperial College, 1987

Before gaining his PhD, Lyes Khezzar obtained a BEng in mechanical engineering (1st class honours) from Bradford University and an MSc from UMIST. He has a wide professional experience in management and execution in Academia, notably in Algeria and Oman and Industries spanning mechanical construction, power & desalination and Petrochemicals. He has participated in a wide variety of research and consultancy projects sponsored by major industrial bodies and government agencies from the UK, US, Oman and Algeria that span the fields of internal flows in equipment, combustors, turbomachines, gas and water distribution networks and fluid handling facilities. He is a fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and a Chartered Engineer.
