An active and recognized figure of the international combustion, plasma, and optical diagnostics communities, has published over fifty referred journal and conference papers, is one of the initiators of The Mediterranean Combustion Symposium and The Africa Materials Research Society for which he is one of the executive members. Professor Sassi holds a joint appointment between Mechanical and chemical engineering at PI.
