2011-03-05: Petroleum Institute Open Day

On March 5, 2011, the ME department held its annual open day in the Bu Hasa building, presenting the program to the prospective high school students. The event provided an opportunity for prospective students and their families to meet ME faculty and staff members and learn about the ME program. The ME booth showcased a variety of equipment such as a humanoid robot, solar powered hydrogen fuel cell, among other items. Two junior female students Miss Mahra Saad and Miss Mariam Mubarak were also present at the ME department booth. Many of the female visitors were especially interested in the displayed equipment and asked various questions regarding the teaching material and the practical labs. Students and their family members were given a tour of the various ME laboratories.
