Profile:
During his seven years of experience, he occupied several missions in the industry. He was exposed to different technologies and platforms. Among them, he worked on high end computing machines and embedded systems. He worked also on IT consulting, services and support in the Middle East for the major petroleum companies such as ADNOC, PI, Saudi Aramco, and Schlumberger. As Technical Consultant and Solution Architect, he delivered IT solutions and support for customers to enhance the quality and the operations.

Work Experience:
- 06-2011 – Present: Lab IT Engineer, The Petroleum Institute, Abu Dhabi.
A member of Petroleum Engineering department, I work closely with IT department to make sure that all labs are well equipped and working as expected. I work on the budget and help in acquisition of hardware and software licenses renewals and upgrades and also provide IT support to Faculties and suggest solutions to help them deliver their petroleum engineering research and labs.
- Aug 2010 – Apr 2011: Systems Integrator, Gemalto MEA, Dubai.
Part of Gemalto Global Services Team, my mission was to deliver complete solutions to customers: it consisted of installing OTA and browsing platforms for telecom Operators; OTA and Browsing platforms are server side applications to manage provision and update SIM card over the air. I worked on four main projects: Meditel Morocco, Libyana Libya, Vodafone Qatar (VMT: Vodafone Money Transfer: Mobile Money) and Avea Turkey. Vodafone project was lunched in November 2010 and it consisted one of the world’s first mobile remittance services.
- Oct 2008 – Jul 2010: Technical Consultant and Solution Architect, Opennet MEA, Dubai.
As Technical Consultant for Red Hat customers in the Middle East, I worked Red Hat Support Centre managed by Opennet MEA. As part of the Professional Services Team, I delivered remote and onsite services: consulting, software installation, Infrastructure migration, and troubleshooting. These services were for several customers in the Middle East, petroleum companies among them.
I assisted the sales team with technical aspects of the products and by defining technical needs. I used also to study, design and build POCs and demos for customer and partners to show the feasibility and products features. Designed new customer solutions based on Red Hat and Zimbra products and placing open source technology as strategic choice.
Lead customers and provided guidance in migration projects to Linux and Open source software.
- Oct 2007 – Sep 2008: System Engineer and Storage Specialist, Orascom Telecom Tunisia.
Working in IT Team, I had real challenges on a growing company that provides mobile telecommunications services in Tunisia. There were more than 100 servers (Linux, UNIX and Windows) and more than 20 disk arrays in Information systems department data-center over there. My team accountabilities were Systems Engineer and Storage Specialist. I contributed in the design, implementation and test of clustered solutions on production. I also installed, configured, and upgraded IT solutions (Hardware: servers, disk arrays. Software: operating systems, database, and applications). My day-to-day tasks also included providing IT support for all other department teams. And I contributed to the monitoring of production servers and performance tuning. I planed, run updates and patches for operating systems, web and company business applications. I helped in incident and problem solving.
- Sep 2004 – Sep 2007: Application Engineer, STMicroelectronics.
A member of OS Expertise and Advanced Platforms team: I worked as an Application Engineer and contributed on many embedded solutions for STM: development, porting of libraries, and stacks (graphics, video layers), test and validations processes of products, providing online and offline customer support and admin server hosting ST solutions. My experience was built around different operating systems and various Stacks and APIs (STLinux, OS20, OS21, OS+, STAPI, JavaTV, MHP, USB, TCP/IP…).
