Dr. Jing Lu is an Assistant Professor of Petroleum Engineering in the Petroleum Engineering Department, The Petroleum Institute at Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
He has earned five degrees:
- a Ph.D degree in petroleum engineering from the University of Oklahoma,
- a Master of Engineering degree in petroleum engineering from the University of Calgary,
- a Master of Science degree in applied math from Virginia Tech. University,
- a Master of Science degree in petroleum geology from Chengdu University of Technology,
- a Bachelor of Science degree in petroleum geology from Southwest Petroleum University.
Between his degrees, he was a petroleum consultant and reservoir analyst with KADE Technologies Inc. and United Oil and Gas Consulting Ltd. at Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and an assistant geologist of Huachuan Oil and Natural Gas Exploration and Development Company at Chengdu, Sichuan, China.
Dr. Lu is the author of over forty conference and journal technical papers in the area of well productivity, pressure transient analysis, reservoir engineering, natural gas engineering, and engineering mathematics. He is a member of Society of Petroleum Engineers and Society of Industrial and Applied Mathematics.
Dr. Lu is the first author of the following books:
