Welcome to the Petroleum Engineering program at The Petroleum Institute!
The Petroleum Engineering Program at the PI offers a modern curriculum that emphasizes not only engineering fundamentals but also an integrated approach to the application of technical and business decision-making tools to assist in minimizing risk and maximizing technical and economic robustness of designs and decisions. The curriculum outcomes are mapped to our client companies’ Competency Assurance Management System, ensuring our graduates will be prepared to hit the ground running with the necessary key technical, general and behavioral competencies to rapidly advance to positions of responsibility.
Our client companies include our parent, Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), its exploration and production operating companies (ADCO, ADMA, ZADCO) and our international shareholder supporters (BP, JODCO, Shell, Total). In addition to providing focus to our curriculum, the close working relationship we enjoy with our clients is instrumental in our planning for targeted research programs that meet both our sponsors’ needs for new technology and the PI’s needs to be engaged in cutting-edge technology development to continue growing our teaching and research activities.
"It is a very exciting time to be at The Petroleum Institute as it grows into a world-class engineering college and prepares new generations of youth to steward this country’s vast natural resources!"
