Profile:

  • M. Phil., Hydrogeophysics, Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad, Pakistan, 2008
  • M. Sc., Geophysics, Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad, Pakistan, 2005
  • B. Sc., Mathematics/Computer Science, University of Peshawar, Pakistan, 2002

Experience:

2010 March – Present Research Assistant, The Petroleum Institute, Abu Dhabi
2008 May – 2010 Feb Geophysicist, Fugro Middle East, Abu Dhabi
2007 Nov – 2008 Feb Borehole Geophysicist, Schlumberger, Pakistan
2005 Jan – 2007 Oct Geoscientist, LMK Resources, Pakistan

Professional:

Before joining the PI, worked with the engineering section of Fugro Middle East for locating subsurface cavities using various geophysical techniques. Before, was involved in VSP data processing with Schlumberger and domain testing of the Landmark softwares with LMK Resources.

The M. Phil thesis was on the determination of aquifer characteristics including porosity, hydraulic conductivity and Stratigraphy by using surface resistivity methods.

The current research project is focused on passive microgravity monitoring of reservoirs for enhanced hydrocarbon production.
