Assistant Professor, Oslo University.

1972-1976

Research Scientist, Norwegian Seismic Array (NORSAR)

1985 to 2003 Adjunct professor at the University of Tromsoe, Norway.

Professional:

Before joining PI he worked in the oil service company PGS (Petroleum Geo Services) were he was Senior VP for Reservoir Technology and President of PGS Reservoir Consultants.

At PGS he was the leader for the development and commercialization of a new product within the seismic industry (4 component sea bottom seismic). He was also the leader for an international group of consultants, covering all aspects of subsurface evaluation.

From 1987 to 1995 he was Managing Chairman for READ Well Services (RWS); a logging company were he also was one of the founders. RWS was among other things the company that first introduced digital multilevel well seismic to the oil industry in a commercially successful way.

From 1982 to 1987 he worked in the oil company Saga Petroleum, which now has been taken over by Norsk Hydro a.s. In Saga he was Senior Research Geophysicist before advancing to become Senior Manager Geophysics (Chief Geophysicist).

He worked as Assistant Professor at Oslo University from 1977 to 1981 except for a one year period as Senior Research Scientist at Sintef in Trondheim Norway. He was Research Scientist at the Norwegian Seismic Array (NORSAR) from 1972 to 1976.

Over 50 publications in the area of earthquake seismology, seismic acquisition and processing, management.
