The Petroleum Geosciences Program is
pleased to announce that it has recently received a number of cores from the abandoned
Arzanah Field donated by the Zakum Development
Company (ZADCO). These cores will provide an
important teaching and research resource within
the program. We had previously received well
logs, seismic, and other geologic and production
data. Our thanks to ZADCO and ADNOC for these
important donations. The photo shows Dr. Stephen
Lokier and geologist Silvia Bauer preparing the
cores in our recently remodeled Core Layout
Laboratory.
