Drs Lokier and Steuber recently presented the lead research article in the high impact Journal of Sedimentary Research. The paper, entitled ‘Quantification of Carbonate-Ramp Sedimentation and Progradation Rates for the Late Holocene Abu Dhabi Shoreline’, gives new well constrained rates for carbonate accumulation and progradation rates in a late Holocene ramp system. This paper is the first publication from the ongoing research project studying the Holocene and Recent sediments of the Abu Dhabi coastline.
