On 24th March 2010 Dr Stephen Lokier introduced a party of 59 MIT students and faculty and staff to the unique sedimentary environments of the Abu Dhabi Sabkha. During the fieldtrip the group visited a number of diverse sedimentary environments and considered the application of modern analogues to aid hydrocarbon exploration and production.
