About Admissions Process
Admissions at PI are held for Fall and Spring; typically during the month of June and December respectively. Advertisements are publicized in the local media prior and during the admission period.
The admission requirements set are minimum requirements which may change. The Governing Board reserves the right to deviate from published admission requirements. In such cases, changes in admission policy will be publicized accordingly.

Meeting the Requirements
Before you apply with the Petroleum Institute, please verify if you have the minimum requirements. Only applicants who have met the prerequisite can qualify to be accepted for evaluation.
Admissions Portal
The admission process basically starts by registering the candidate through the online Admissions Portal. The candidate will have to generate an account and proceed to fill in all details mentioned in the application form. Once the form is filled and submitted, a reference number is generated with an option to print the application form.
Compiling the prerequisite
With a copy of the printed application form, the prerequisite should be compiled as mentioned. Please note that any application with incomplete documentation will be rejected.
Applying
The application form with the prerequisite can be submitted by visiting the PI Admissions Office. The Admissions Counter will be open during the admission period and will only accept applications from 08:00 am – 12:00 pm (Sun – Thu).
International applicants and/or applications that are unable to visit the PI should choose to send the documents by post or through courier.

Please note that applications through fax or email will not be accepted.
Upon verification of documents the applicants will be acknowledged accordingly.
Evaluation
PI is primarily reserved for Emaratis (UAE Nationals); however, highly qualified Non-Emaratis (Non-UAE Nationals) are admitted on a case-by-case basis. Acceptance of applicants will be based on the academic proficiency and evaluation through a highly selective admission process by the committee. Applicants will be referred through the reference number or by the first and last name.
Acceptance
Once the admittance has been determined, the applicant will be given a call immediately to update the status. Successful candidates will be then given instructions to complete the final procedures before intake.
