Strong applicants not meeting the minimum requirements may be admitted by a program on a provisional basis; applicants with significant relevant industrial experience are given special consideration for admission. For more details on probationary admission, please refer to Graduate Catalog:
Each program examines an applicant's academic background to assess the student's needs to take prerequisite courses before starting the graduate program.
Admission for students from other technical disciplines or who have non-technical undergraduate degrees is considered on a case-by-case basis by respective engineering programs. Students taking prerequisite courses will have provisional status and will be required to maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or greater.
Credit for academic work completed at other accredited academic institutions can also be considered; academic credit for work experience is not granted. A maximum of six (6) credit hours can be transferred to the PI to satisfy post-graduate degree requirements.
