Applied Technology High School (ATHS)

Engineering Science & Applied Engineering

  • Minimum overall average of 75%
  • Minimum average score of 75% in Math, Physics and Chemistry
  • Provide SAT Math test score

All other clusters

  • Minimum overall average of 75%
  • Minimum average score of 75% in Math, Physics and Chemistry
  • Provide SAT Math test score of 500 or above

American System

High school diploma

  • 12 or more college preparatory courses: 3   English, 3 Math, 2 Social Studies, 3 Science (12th grade Physics & Chemistry mandatory)
  • Minimum overall average of 75% or 2.5 GPA
  • Minimum average score of 75% in Math, Physics and Chemistry

British System  

IGCSE, GCSE, GCE

  • Proof of graduation certificate from an accredited high school
  • Minimum of grade C in at least 5 courses in GCSEs which should include Math + Physics + Chemistry
  • Minimum of grade C in at least 2 courses in AS Levels which are Math + Physics or Chemistry

International Baccalaureate (IB)

IB Diploma

  • Proof of grade 12 graduation certificate from an accredited high school
  • 3 or more High Level courses which should   include Math, Physics and Chemistry
  • Minimum score of 4 in at least two subjects which are Math + Physics or Chemistry

NOTE: High School graduation year should not exceed 2 years at the time of applying.

Applying for TOEFL or IELTS:

Accepted applicants without a minimum score of TOEFL iBT 61 or Academic IELTS 6.0, may be placed into one of the following programs, based on their PI placement test scores:

The Intensive English Language (IEM) Program: English + Math + Science courses
OR
The Academic Bridge Program (ABP): AP level courses or Preparatory level courses.

The PI no longer accepts TOEFL PBT scores.

The Arts & Sciences Program      


The following criteria are used to admit students to the freshman (Arts & Sciences) Program:

Students who have the required English language proficiency and pass the PI placement exams in Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and IT may be considered for direct entry to the Arts & Sciences Program (full admission) if they have at least one of the following qualifications: 

  • Full A-Level in Mathematics (C grade or better)
  • AS-Level in Chemistry and Physics (B grade or better)
  • A grade of 3 or higher on approved AP exams in Calculus (AB or BC), Chemistry and Physics
  • Achieved a score of 30 or higher on the International Baccalaureate (IB) exams with minimum scores of 5 in high level Math, Physics and Chemistry.

Freshman Course Credit

Students with AP (scores of 5 or 4), A-levels (grades A and B) or IB- High (grades 7 and 6) may be awarded freshman course credits.
