Geosciences is very proud to announce that two of our Geosciences Senior students, Khalid Ali Obaid and Ahmed Saeed Al Kaabi, won the “Middle East Challenge Bowl for Geosciences students” arranged by Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG) held at the GEO2008 Conference in Bahrain on March 4th, 2008. They competed against 6 other teams from 3 other Universities: King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) , King Saud University (KSU), King AbdulAzziz University (KAU).
They will now compete in the international Challenge Bowl in Las Vegas (U.S.A) to be held during the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG) annual meeting in November, wit all the costs being covered by SEG.
They were originally invited by the Dhahran Geoscience Society.
