Saudi Arabia International Oil & Gas Exhibition & Conference SAOGE 2008 held in Dammam, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
The first Saudi Arabia International Oil & Gas Exhibition & Conference, SAOGE 2008, was held in Dammam, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, 17-19 November 2008. It was designed as the first of a series of meetings whose main purpose is to provide the perfect platform for networking, collaboration and building relationships in the petroleum industry of the Gulf area. The event’s main sponsor was Saudi Aramco, the world leader in crude oil production. This is a very special event as this year Saudi Aramco celebrates the company’s 75th birthday. In recognition of this anniversary the event’s patron was HRH Prince Mohammed Bin Fahad Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud.
The exhibition of SAOGE 2008 included more than 180 exhibitors from over 30 countries showing the latest developments of major international oil companies, equipment manufacturers and service providers under one roof.
The high profile conference presented more than 60 papers during three days, and has attracted participation from top level speakers and conference delegates. The Conference SAOGE 2008 included the following nine technical sessions:
