08/Mar/2010: Geosciences Students WIN first and third place in the 2010 SEG regional challenge bowl
Congratulations to Ahmed Abed Hassan and Saif Ali Al Mesaabi for winning the first place in the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG) regional challenge bowl held March 08 at the Geo2010 Conference and Exhibition in Bahrain. Congratulations also to Ammar El Husseiny and Osama Al Zinati for the third place among a field of 10 teams from five regional universities. PI Petroleum Geosciences students have now won the Middle East regional challenge bowl in three consecutive years. The first place means that SEG invites the students to the global finals to be held in Denver, Co, later this year.
