25-30.10: SEG International Showcase, Houston, USA.
The Petroleum Institute faculties (Drs. Karl Berteussen, Sandra Vega and Mohammed Ali) and students (Mohammed Eid Al Suwaidi, Ammar Aly El Husseiny, Ahmed Hassan and Moutaz Saleh) took part in the SEG (Society of Exploration Geophysicists) International Showcase which was held in Houston, Texas on 25-30 October 2009.
The PI team presented research papers on rock physics, multi component and passive seismic data.
Additionally, Ammar Husseiny and Mohammad Eid Alsuwaidi, winners of the Middle East Challenge Bowl, participated in the SEG International Challenge Bowl. They competed against other teams who were also regional winners representing: the United States, Italy, Canada, China, Bulgaria, Mexico.
