The PI Student Council was established for the purpose of representing the interests of the undergraduate student population to the PI administration. The base of the PISC is the students, who work willingly to serve other students. The PI Student Council consists of representatives from every undergraduate department at all levels on campus. The PISC primarily acts as one body, as the connection between the undergraduate students and the upper administration, advising the undergraduate students academically and socially, and the upper PI administration about issues of interest to undergraduate students. One issue that the PISC has strong input to is Positive Atmosphere Insurance. The PISC exists mainly to help the students have a better social and educational life in order to improve their academic routine and performance. The PISC also played a significant role in enhance the reputation of the Petroleum Institute among the other universities established in the UAE.
